Hey there! I'm Marnie, a Certified Strength Coach, Nutritionist, Behaviour Change Specialist, and Pregnancy & Postpartum Instructor, with a background in Behavioural Neuroscience. Let me tell you a bit more about the journey that led me to where I am today.
Growing up, I was a competitive soccer player with big dreams and an even bigger passion for sports. Unfortunately, injuries and concussions took me out of the game, but ultimately led me into the world of self care through nutrition and strength training. This turn of events fueled my desire to understand the human body, its capabilities, and the science behind fitness and well-being.
With diplomas in Architectural Building Engineering Technology, Plumbing, and Electrical, I've always had a knack for understanding the intricate details of how things work. This analytical mindset naturally extends to my journey in the health and fitness industry, fueling my passion for learning how and why something does what it does.
As a vegan athlete, I understand the significance of nutrition and the impact it has on performance and overall well-being. Don’t worry, I won’t force my tofu recipes on you, but I always encourage everyone to eat more plants in general. This perspective has allowed me to guide individuals towards healthier, more sustainable eating habits.
But what truly sets me apart is my commitment to fostering the right mindset. I firmly believe that success in personal training and nutrition coaching goes beyond just physical routines and meal plans. It's about building the mindset of someone who can take control of their destiny and make lasting changes. Over the years I've developed a deep understanding of how behaviour change works, enabling me to empower my clients to transform their lives.
One fun fact about me: I'm always prepared to burst into song. Music has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation in my life.
